The Elastilon family of Self Adhesive Installation Membranes now makes it possible to easily and quickly install solid hardwood (prefinished or unfinished) from 5/16" to as thick as 1", including exotics such as bamboo, on any concrete surface, above or below grade. An Elastilon Strong installed floor can even accommodate new concrete (at least 60 days old and up to 3.9% moisture content) without the need for traditional subfloor constructions and without the use of nails or glues. An approved 6mil PE film vapor barrier is required over all below grade concrete installations and any concrete floor that exceeds allowed moisture content levels. This can reduce floor installation time by up to 70%, and there are no expensive call backs. Elastilon Sport is designed for sports applications.
